Membership Informaton

Welcome to the Membership Information page!
Where you can find the information you need to become a Beloved Member of Emu Park SLSC!

A bit of the clubs History!
We were formed in 1956 with the club house being constructed in 1960, primarily built by members of the club and the clubhouse was opened on the 11th of December by the Mayor, Rex
Pilbeam, 1960.

Being a Surf Lifesaver is an absolute privilege personally, being able to watch out for the public and keeping the Emu Park beach safe for the bathing public.
You can become a member at just 5 years old with no maximum age limit!

There are different types of members within the club, the Active Members being those who complete their training and are on a regular patrol roster. There are many different roles within the Active Members Careers from their basic Bronze Medallion, moving through to being a crew and driver of the Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB), First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation Techniques and many other skills!
